Got inked...and a TARGET find!

Hey Peeps! Kerri here...
I debated whether or not to tell you this, and my Bestie told me that I should ABSOLUTELY not tell you, for fear that you might judge me, or worse yet, UNFOLLOW our blog! (The horror!!) But, I have faith that you will still be my bloggy friends if I tell you that yesterday, the hubs and I (in honor of our 13th anniversary, which we celebrated on December 21st)...got INKED!! Yes, that is right. You heard it here, inked is the cool way to say WE GOT TATTOOS! Now, if you know anything about my hubby, he is NOT the tattoo type. Me, on the other hand, well, let's just say that this was my 5th tattoo. The other 4 I got in college, when I was a self-proclaimed hippy. It's all a blur now, but what I DO know is that my guardian angel was working over time for me back then. Thank you Jesus for your Grace and second chances!!
Anyway, back to the big reveal!! My hubs doesn't like wearing rings, so he got our initials on his ring finger (cuz he's gonna be marked as mine ONE way or another-HEE HEE!!)  and since my fingers are SUPER bony, thanks alot Mom, AND since I LOVE my wedding ring, I got my girls' initials on my wrist. TADA....

I absolutely LOVE them!! And, if you live in Orange County and are willing to get inked yourself, then I HIGHLY recommend Life After Death Tattoo in Costa Mesa. The owner, Chris Perrin, is an awesome Christian guy, was SUPER cool and easy to work with, and his shop is FABULOUS!!

In other news, I found these adorable little gems at TARGET today in the Dollar Spot (of course!!)

Little Valentines take out boxes!! Aaaawww!! Aren't they soooo cute! I plan on making some Valentined freebies to share with you that utilize these boxes, so HURRY out to Target and pick yours up!! Also, I would love some suggestions on what I can use them for! I am thinking some sort of SORTS, language arts or math themed obviously, but I welcome your ideas!! I'd also love to know how many of you have tattoos...I know there must be some of you out there!!

P.S. A big huge hug to those of you who have purchased my newest unit, Winter Games Math and Literacy Centers! I feel so honored that you like my TPT stuff!! Don't forget to pick up your Winter Games Number Order to 100 FREEBIE!! It already has 624 downloads-AMAZING!!

love, love, LOVE the tattoo!!!! I want one on my wrist SO bad!! Have you seen those white ink tattoos?? Those look amazing and I'm seriously dying for one. I have one on my lower back :) A fun college souvenier...my 3 best friends and I got the exact same one. Kinda cheesy, but I we all wanted something that was meaningful. We're all still BFF's to this day!! Love it!!!!!!

Aaah! You were a hippie. That is awesome, I love it!! {This is so NOT judgmental. I like learning more about people.} And your tattoo is very sweet. My husband is a drummer and was in a hard core (like metal) band all throughout high school and his mid-twenties. He has quite a few tattoos. I'm pretty used to it. He actually looks pretty normal compared to some of his friends.
I think you'd probably have a harder time finding people who don't have tattoos!

I can't spend any money until Friday and I HAVE to get those Target boxes! I love them. Thanks for sharing!

I love the tattoos! I have one on my foot (a star), a nose ring and sometimes sport colored streaks in my hair too. My reward for losing 50 pounds is going to be a white ink tattoo on my wrist.

(I mean WHERE on my body - there is a tattoo parlor next to my favorite restaurant so I know where I will get inked.)

I for one am too terrified to get a tattoo and I have commitment issues so I would constantly regret whatever I got. But I do love target and I can't wait to see what you make to go with those adorbs take out boxes!!

I love your tattoos. I have two small ones. One when I turned 18 and the other when I turned 21. I will be 40 in a few years.... Perhaps a new tattoo to celebrate?

Reading that post made me want to follow you more! I have one HUGE tattoo on my lower back that has great spiritual significance to me. My hubby has one on his right forearm. I keep thinking of getting another but can't decide just what and where. Glad to have found your blog through pinterest.
