Stitch Fixin' AGAIN!!

 Happy Sunday, Peeps!!!

Well, my lovely obsession (aka Stitch Fix) arrived a couple of weeks ago and it might have been the best one ever! I literally could have kept the entire box, and I almost did, but I managed to control myself and I did return one item, albeit very grudgingly!! :)

Let's dive into this month's goodies, shall we? My stylist is Jessica (hey girl!!) and she is pretty much perfect! She literally chooses things for me that are sooooo right on, every.single.time!

Doesn't this picture just look so gorgeous already? I had asked her for some boho tops that were sleeveless since it is STILL 1,000,000,000 degrees here in Southern California, and apparently our weather is BROKEN and permanently set to HELL WEATHER, so sleeveless is perfect for me in my lovely UN-AIRCONDITIONED classroom! (Can you tell I'm a tad bitter??)

I had also asked Jessica for a light jacket for those cool Fall days I have been anticipating, but haven't arrived yet, and at this rate, probably never will. We'll just roll right back into summer, come February! LOL
She sent me this gem of a jacket. Isn't it GORGEOUS?? The color is soooo pretty.
This is the Julia Utility Jacket from MARKET & SPRUCE. It fit perfectly and looked so darn cute with jeans, but I just couldn't justify keeping it. I literally almost NEVER wear jackets here in Orange County. Usually, a light sweater is all I need when it gets chilly. So, even though I really wanted to keep it, I knew it would just sit in my closet and not get worn.
WAAA WAAA WAA WAAAA.
RETURNED sadly.

The next item in my box was the Zemba Henley Blouse by PAPERMOON. Ok, she had me the minute I held it up. Isn't it so fun?? The pattern, the colors, the fit, EVERYTHING is totally me!

Yup. This one is a really keeper, don't you think? And it looks great with jeans, shorts, black pants. Anything really!! I also love that the arm holes aren't too big, so I don't have to wear a cami underneath it, but I can dress it up with a cardigan if I want to,.
TOTALLY KEPT IT! And I have worn it several times too. :)

Okay, item number 3 is the Osage Scoop Neck Blouse from LE LIS. Once again, I knew immediately that this blouse would be my forever friend, unless it was too short when I tried it on. The colors are so bright and vibrant, I love the print, and it is loose and flowy like I like (gotta hide that baby bump I've been carrying around for 16 years, right?? heh!) I was super excited about this one!

And, we have a WINNER!! This blouse is my FOREVER FRIEND!! The arm holes are perfect, the length is just right, and the color is soooo perrrrty! I love the way it looks with my Iridescent blue Kendra Scott necklace. YAY Stitch Fix on this baby!!

Item number 4 was yet another sleeveless blouse because my girl Jessica comes through for me and sleeveless blouses are my fave right now!
The color in this picture does not do this blouse justice. It is the prettiest pale pink color and the flowers are a bright teal and bright pink color. I also LOVE the neckline! It is so so pretty on, as you will see in just a minute...

The fifth and final item in my box was the Siena Cropped Pant from KUT FROM THE KLOTH. These pants were specifically made for Stitch Fix and I just LOVE Kut jeans, so I was hopeful about these. They are a very light cotton material that is perfect for our currently RIDICULOUS weather, and they are super comfy. I was oh so excited about these pants!

TADA!! The pants are fabulous and fit me just fine (pants tend to be my arch-enemy most of the time. Anyone else feel that way?) and isn't the top just so feminine and pretty? I can wear it with jeans, pants, whatever, and feel totally put together.
I KEPT BOTH! It looks a little boxy in this picture, but I think it is just my awkward pose. I promise you it isn't! :)
So, there you have it! I kept 4 out of 5 items this time and I really could have kept all 5! Stitch Fix comes through for me every time, thanks to the best stylist ever, Jessica!

So, what exactly is Stitch Fix, you ask?? It is super easy to explain...Basically you get your very own stylist who chooses clothes for you that fit your unique style, without having to leave the comfort of your home. Super fun, right??

Here is how Stitch Fix works:

1. Create a Style profile on the
Stitch Fix Website
2. Have 5 handpicked items that fit your style profile delivered to your house.
3. Keep what you like and check out online. Send back the rest in a pre-paid envelope.
4. Look fabulous at work!!

It takes about 10 minutes to fill out your style profile online, and this part is very fun, because you get to choose different outfits that best represent you. I loved this part!

This really is the easiest service in the world. There is no pressure to keep anything. If you don't like anything, they charge you a $20 styling fee, but if you keep at least one item, the $20 fee goes toward the cost of that item, and shipping is FREE both ways. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!!

Plus, if you keep all 5 items (which I have done, by the way) you get 25% off your entire box, so you get a bigger discount!

You also can just sign up one time to try it out, which is what I did the first time. After I did it once, I was hooked, so I signed up for monthly, but my mom signs up for a Fix every once in a while. It is so easy and flexible AND FUN!!!

If you want to check it out, would you please use my Stitch Fix referral link? I get a small commission when my readers have their first box shipped and this helps me to keep posting these awkward super special photos for you all to see! :)

Hope your week is AMAZING and AWESOME and MUCH COOLER than mine!!

STITCH FIX (fabulous dresses edition)!!

Happy Stitch Fix Day, friends!!

Well, I SAID I was going to do better with my Stitch Fix posts, and then a week before school started, my principal told me I was going to be teaching a 1/2 combo! YAY ME.
And then my life got all turned upside down as I tried to figure out this combo thing, PLUS moving Lindsay over to my school to teach first grade with me!!! (More on that later!)
Currently, I am having my fixes delivered every 2-3 weeks because, well, I am KINDA obsessed with this service, in case you didn't notice. HEH! But also because I am looking for some back to school clothes and specifically I had asked for a couple of dresses I could wear the first week. As usual, my girl Jessica did not disappoint! Let's dive right in, shall we??

Here are this month's goodies, straight out of the box. Looking promising already!!

The first item Jessica sent me was the Brunswick Button Down Blouse from Collective Concepts. I knew the minute I took it out of the box that it wasn't for me. First of all, the pink was seriously NEON. Like for reals neon. And the diamonds were brown and burgundy. Not a fan. When I tried it on, I looked like a grandma. gross.
RETURNED!

The next item in my box was the Brix Scoop Neck Blouse by Collective Concepts. This one was SCREAMING me (the colors and print were gorgeous!), until I put it on. Wah wah! It was just too short. I HATE and LOATHE short tanks that hit my thigh in just the perfect spot to make me look GINORMOUS. Boo! RETURNED.

The third item in my box was the Oliander Open Cardigan by Loveappella. Again, I totally felt like this was a granny sweater! It was all thick and a weird material and when I put it on, I felt like I was 65. So sad!! RETURNED.

So far, this Fix is pretty depressing right?? Just wait until you see the dresses she sent me!! :)
Item number 4 was the Calvin Dress by Donna Morgan. When I first saw it, I loved the color but the print seemed a little crazy for me and horizontal stripes are not my best friend, soooo...... I was skeptical, to say the least.
And then I put it on. And the heavens parted, the angels sang, and it.was.amazing!!!

TADA!!! Check it out Peeps!! Isn't it soooo darn pretty?? And check out the illusion of a waist it gave me with the navy stripe across the middle! This dress is a keeper for sure!
P.S. Don't mind the awkward arm pose. I have no idea what my arm was doing was in this picture!! heehee :)

Item number 5 was also a dress, the Tod Dress from Market and Spruce. This dress was 100% right up my alley! The colors, the length, the print. I loved it at first sight!!

And it is fabulous on, just like I thought it would be!! Not too tight around my midsection (Can you tell I got issues??) and super comfy!! I actually wore it to school today and it was perfectly perfect!! KEPT IT!!

This last dress was from a previous fix that I never blogged about because I had to get it hemmed. This is the Jesse Maxi Dress by Loveappella. Isn't it just the prettiest purple color?

It is super comfy on too! After I got it hemmed, it was the perfect length and not too loose or too tight. I'm excited to wear it to school after it cools down a little (since it is a brazillion degrees right now-ugh!!)

Stitch Fix Rules!!

Happy Summer, friends!!
I am blogging with you today from sunny Seattle (as in, it is going to be 90 degrees here on Friday! WTH Seattle!! Do you not realize that I melt in the heat??). My mom and I are here for our annual "visit the baby brother" trip and so far, it is AMAZING (and hot)!

I am here to share my latest  Stitch Fix you!! YAY!! I know, I know, I have been quite the slacker with my Stitch Fix posts lately. What with school, teenagers needing rides all over town, and helping out with my daughter's theatre program at school (yes, I AM THAT MOM!! There should be a new show called "Theatre moms" starring yours truly!! Heehee), I have failed miserably to share my Stitch Fix finds with you. Boo on me!!
I promise I will be better…starting with this post right here!! What the heck is Stitch Fix, you ask?? Don't worry, I'll fill you in on all the deets at the end of this post. :)
You can even sign up to get your own box of Stitch Fix heaven!!

So, here is my latest pile of goodness after I took it out of the box. Isn't it sooooo purty??? The colors are SCREAMING me!! I had asked my stylist Jessica (who is the bomb.com BTW) to send me lots of tanks this time since it summer, and she did not disappoint! Let's delve right in, shall in??

This first little number is the NELDA HALTER BLOUSE by Pixley. I LOVED the colors and print of this tank, but in general, I am not a halter top fan, and this one was WAYYYY too haltery when I tried it on, so NOT A KEEPER. Waaaaa….
This next piece is the ARVIA EMBROIDERY HALTER TOP by Daniel Rainn. When I first took a look at it, I was like WHAAATT??? The neck was just screaming "Aztec Goddess". I felt like it should have been in the Emperor's New Groove or something. (Anyone seen that Disney gem??? HILARIOUS, I tell you!!!)
However, I tried it on like a good little Stitch Fix girl, and I was pleasantly surprised! It was actually kind of adorable on!

See what I mean?? The print is super pretty on, and the collar doesn't look aztecy after all!! KEEPING IT!! :)
This next dress is called the EVY DRESS from Kut from the Kloth. I love me some Kut from the Kloth (their cropped jeans are the BEST!) so I was super stoked about this dress. But, once I took a look at it,  I saw that the green was NEON. Like for real NEON GREEN. Really?? No thanks! Bummer too, cause the dress was super cute!
Next up is this gorgeous tank from Papermoon called the DESCANSO BEADED NECKLINE BLOUSE. Isn't it TO DIE FOR?? I knew right away that we were destined to be forever friends!!

Yup!!! This top is definitely my new bestie!! I love everything about it. The beading detail around the neck, the pattern, the material. It is simply delicious!!!

Here's a little close-up of the beaded neckline. So fun!!

The last item in my box this month was the 41 HAWTHORN Zappo Mixed Material Sweater. I was SOOOOO excited to see this in my box! I had requested this sweater forever ago when I saw it on another blogger's website, but I never received it. Until today!! It is super thin and comfy and I thought it would be perfect for those cool Seattle evenings so I brought it with me. Yeah, obviously not going to get to wear it on THIS trip. Maybe back in California??

This sweater is simply AMAZING. Soft, cozy, thin and perfect for summer. I am so stoked that Jessica found it for me!!

So pretty, right???

And….here are a couple of winners from my last few fixes that I didn't blog about (I'm a loser, I know!!)
This is the PAPERMOON CORDELIA SCOOP NECK BLOUSE. I love everything about this blouse! It is perfect for summer and it reminds me of rainbow sherbet. All of my favorite colors and chevron rolled into one perfectly perfect tank!! In fact, I am wearing it AS.WE.SPEAK. (True story!!)

It is perfect to wear with a little cardigan also, but currently I am wearing it alone because it is 1000 degrees here is Seattle. (Can you tell I'm a little torked about the weather??)

Another one of favorites that I had pinned and Jessica was able to find for me was this Wakeman Crocheted Open Cardigan from Honey Punch. It is sooooo soft, like BUTTAH soft!! And the perfect taupe that goes with EVERYTHING!!

I can wear it with absolutely everything!! Like this black tee and another fabulous stitch fix maxi skirt I got a few fixes ago!

It also looks great with this PIXLEY LIVIE ABSTRACT CHEVRON MAXI DRESS which I got in the fix before my current one. Girls, they had me at chevron and then really had me when I saw these beautiful colors!!! I usually shy away from vertical stripes (Can I get an AMEN??), but this dress is fabulous in every way!

Last, but not least, I had asked Jessica for a teal green bag. Guess what she found me??? This fantabulous URBAN EXPRESSIONS CROSSBODY BAG in TEAL GREEN!!!! OHEMGEEEE! I have gotten so so so many compliments on this bag! And it looks small, but it can fit a TON of my crap  very important stuff. YAY ME!

Stitch Fix Strikes AGAIN!!!

Good Morning, Bits and Bobbers!! Kerri, your resident Stitch Fix girl, is back with not 1, but 2 months of Stitch Fix goodness!!

Why 2 months, you ask?? My February box arrived when my older daughter was in her high school musical and I was re-living my high school theatre glory days by being the ultimate stage mom (Not ashamed to admit it!!)
Then, shortly after I got my March box and got the pictures all ready to roll, I got that nasty flu that was going around and it knocked my on my B.U.T.T. !
I literally had a fever for a week! It was ridiculous.

So, that is why I now have 2 whole months of wonderful Stitch Fix goodies to share with you. I'll show you the good (TONS!), the bad (A TINY BIT), and everything in between. Unsure what Stitch Fix is? Don't worry, I'll explain it all at the end of this post and you'll want to sign up FO SHO!!! :)

So, here is my pretty blue and brown box when it arrived at my house in March.  I like to look at it for a few moments in anticipation before I open it. I'm a huge DORK, I know!!! But isn't it so pretty??

And, here is the gorgeous pile of clothes Jessica (My personal stylist, who does an AMAZING job every single month!!) picked out just for me, based on feedback I've given her when I check out each month, AND my Stitch Fix Pinterest board. This is KEY to getting a good Fix!
Aren't the colors delicious?? That top on the top is SCREAMING my name!

Now, I'll go through each piece and show you pictures of me in the ones that worked for me...

First up, the RENEE C Garren Keyhole Blouse. This was absolutely RIGHT UP MY ALLEY! The colors, the print, I loved everything about it! Unfortunately, when I tried it on it was too short and boxy for me (I prefer tops that cover my child bearing hips...I'm sure some of you can relate??) and I was super sad.
However, my mom tried it on (she is shorter and more petite than I am) and it fit her perfectly! So, she kept it and ROCKS it every time she wears it. WINNER!!

Next up, the GILLI Kadyn Dress. You can't tell by this picture but this dress was V-neck and my first impression was, "I don't have the cleavage or the nerve to pull this one off!" But, I tried it on anyway, because you just never know, right??

Well, what do you know??!! This dress was pretty darn cute on me! My cleavage (or lack there of!) wasn't a problem after all! And it was so soft and comfy and that Cheveron print was TO.DIE.FOR!! KEEPER!!

Item Number 3...the PIXLEY Zoey Geo Print Dress. My first impression of this dress was definitely MEH. It reminded me of a dress I would have worn in the 90's, to be honest, and the colors were NOT my favorite.
Then I tried it on....and I was right. The colors washed me right out, cause in case you haven't noticed...I'm paler than pale, especially in the middle of March. Ugh...it was hideous. RETURNED!

Next item up...the PIXLEY Meryl Tulip Print Sleeveless Blouse.
OMG!!! They had me at the tulips, people!! This top was oh-so-adorable, and right up my alley! I had high hopes for this one. :)

YUP!! It was perfectly perfect on me! Perfect fit, super comfy, and I just love how it looks with my favorite cardigan from my very first Fix!! KEEPER!!

Here is a close up of the blouse. I love that I can wear it with a cardigan in the Spring and sleeveless (well, after I get my arms tanned up a little-ugh!) in the Summer. LOVE IT!!

Item #5-The FATE Terrell Cardigan. I had asked Jessica to send me a gray cardigan, and this one looked super promising on the hanger. Interesting knit, but not too busy. I was excited to try it on!

YES!! I loved everything about this!! It was cozy and warm, but not too heavy, which is perfect for Spring, plus it looked fabulous paired with my pale pink jeweled top I got on clearance from Nordys. KEEPER!!

So, all told, I kept 3 items from my February box-
the gray cardigan, the gorgeous dress with the chevron print, and the tulip print. Plus, my mom kept that fabulous BOHO blouse that was too short for me. Pretty awesome job, Jessica!! She knocked it out of the park, as usual!!

Up next, my March box, which arrived while I was still getting over the flu. Check out the beautiful selection that Jessica chose for me this month!! The colors are simply SCREAMING Spring!!

The first item she sent me was the BRIXON IVY Fallon Mixed Print Sleeveless Blouse. I think I pinned this blouse a million times and I was SOOOOO excited to see it in my box. All my favorite colors rolled into one?? Sleeveless blouse that I can wear with a cardigan or without?? Yes please!

And....it was even more fabulous on! I love bold colors that I can pair with my Kendra Scott jewelry and blue and teal are my favorite colors of all. This top was soft and silky and paired with a bright blue cardigan, it worked perfectly! KEEPER!!
Here is what I noticed the most about this picture, however.
HELLO ROOTS!! This girl needs a cut and partial weave STAT! Geez Louise....

Item #2-the COLLECTIVE CONCEPTS Phelan Blouse. Now, this blouse looks wonky on the hanger, but OH.MY.WORD. I love every single thing about this blouse!! The colors, the print, the material, the sleeve length. ALL of it was begging me to keep her!!

And I did, girls!!! Once I put it on, I know it would be my forever blouse. My favorite part about it was the sleeve length. I like a longer sleeve and these were the perfect length. I also loved the teal and pink. This blouse is the perfect casual look to go with capri jeans. KEEPER!!

Item #3-the MARKET AND SPRUCE Torin French Terry Stripe Blazer. I had asked Jessica for a blazer that I could wear with jeans. I have never had a blazer before and to be honest, blazers aren't really my thang...but I wanted to stretch myself and give it a try. This one was cute on the hanger, but I'm not a big fan of horizontal stripes, plus it looked a little short waisted, so I was skeptical, to say the least.
When I tried it on, it was NOT A WINNER AT ALL. The horizontal stripes made me look ridiculous and it was SUPER short. Bleccchhh....Sorry blazer...you were RETURNED!

Item #4-the GILLI Liana Maxi Dress. I asked Jessica to send me another Maxi dress and when she sent me this one, I was half excited and half dismayed. Excited because the print on the bottom was 100% my style, but once again, the top half had a v-neck wrapped look and I thought for sure it would make me feel uncomfortable and bustless.
However, I still gave it a try on with my fingers crossed...

This dress was absolutely STUNNING on. The material was real soft and slinky and the pattern was perfect. The top part had a bit of a V to it, but nothing I couldn't deal with. I paired it with my denim jacket that Jessica sent me a few Fixes ago, and it was perfection! This dress also looks fabulous with my off-white cardigan. KEEPER FO SHO!

Last up in this box, the LIVERPOOL Daryl Capri Straight Leg Jean. I had also asked Jessica to send me some denim capri skinnies and these fit the bill just fine. However, when I tried them on, they fit fine, but they were very similar to another pair of jeans I already own, and I couldn't justify the cost, so sadly I had to return them.

All told, I kept 3 items from my March Box-
the blue and teal sleeveless blouse, that gorgeous short sleeved blouse, and my favorite of all...the heavenly maxi dress! Another super RAD Stitch Fix from my girl Jessica!!

I am already eagerly awaiting my April box! Each month, you can send a specific note to your stylist requesting specific items you have pinned (this is KEY!) or a specific type of item. For example, I would love a top with birds on it (so random right??) and boho dresses. Here is the note I sent her for this month:

Jessica again, please!! I would love some boho dresses this time, sleeveless and not too clingy around the waist or too short? Still looking for a bird top and I LOVED the collective concepts shirt from last time, so another one in the same style but a different print maybe? And some capri skinny jeans in a darker blue color or a denim skirt? You always knock it out of the park for me!! :)

See how specific I am? This is really helpful for her to know exactly what I like and don't like. Can't wait to see what she comes up for me this month!! :)
